Removing bad data from a dataset

Removing bad data from a dataset

You can't delete individual rows or clear a dataset's data from the UI. Delete (More Actions) removes the entire dataset, not just its rows. How to fix bad data depends on the source:

  • API connectors (Google Ads, Meta, etc.): Fix it at the source, then use More Actions → Manually Sync Data… to re-pull the affected dates.
  • Email: Send a corrected file. With the default Replace mode, rows for the dates and accounts in the file are replaced.
  • Google Sheets, FTP, URL, S3: If the file has no date or account column, each sync replaces everything, so rows removed from the file are gone after the next sync. Otherwise, only the synced dates or accounts are replaced and older rows stay.
  • Zapier: To fix a row, re-send it from your Zap with the same row ID. To clear everything, contact Support.
⚠️

Deleting a dataset also breaks any Views built on it. NinjaCat doesn't warn you first.
