Building Apps with App Studio
App Studio is the unified environment where you create and manage all of your NinjaCat-powered apps. Previously referred to as the "Data App Builder," App Studio now offers two distinct app types — each optimised for different use cases — while keeping the same familiar builder experience you rely on.

- App Studio — the top-level entry point for creating new apps and managing existing ones.
- App type — the framework that powers your app. You select this once when creating a new app (see Getting Started).
- Datasets — Snowflake reader-account–backed data sources you assign to an app; available for both app types.
- Existing Data Apps — all previously created Data Apps are unaffected and continue to run exactly as before.
