Storage System for Basis Platform & Transition Process

In late 2024 Basis Technologies (formerly Centro until November 2021) announced to its partners that they were changing their data storage provider from Amazon S3 to Snowflake. Under the new system, NinjaCat receives Basis Platform data via Snowflake Share. There is a short process that must be followed in order to connect NinjaCat to your Basis Platform Snowflake Share:

1. Centro must get customer consent for sharing Snowflake data.
2. Centro provides an advertiser ID to the customer, who then shares it with NinjaCat.
3. NinjaCat's CSM inputs the advertiser ID into the system.
4. NinjaCat enables data access to Snowflake.
5. Centro is notified upon Snowflake Share connection.

Adding the Data Source

1. Go to the Setup Settings

2. Follow the instructions in the article How to Connect a Direct Data Network Connection to begin the process of making the Network connection

3. Fill in the required fields on the Network Settings page with the requested credentials_

The User Name/Agency ID will be formatted like 'agency-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx' where the x's can be letters or numbers. Reach out to your CentroBasis account manager for additional assistance in finding this User Name.

4. Toggle to the on position the switches that correspond to the specific report types you'd like to pull data for

The “Line Item” report must be selected/backfilled in order to backfill data from any of the other reports. Upon selecting any of the other listed reports, the Line Item report will automatically be enabled (symbolized by the “Lock” button for the line item report).

5. Set the earliest and latest reporting date range if you want to restrict the amount of data that will be visible to the template builder, reports, and dashboards

Click the "Add Network" button near the bottom left of the page to complete adding a Basis Platform network connection to your agency

Connecting Advertiser Specific Integration Data to a NinjaCat Account

1. Follow the instructions in the article How to Add a Single Data Connection to a NinjaCat Account to begin the process of making the client-specific data connection

2. Fill in the required fields on the Connect Data Source page by using the provided drop-down menus or by typing in the requested credentials or information
