Sharing Agent Conversations with Your Team
Sharing Agent Conversations with Your Team
By default, every conversation you have with an agent is private — only you can see it. This feature lets you share a conversation with other members of your NinjaCat organization so they can review or continue your work.
Who can you share with? Sharing is limited to people who already have access to the same agent and the same account, and who are signed into your organization. You cannot share with someone outside your NinjaCat organization.
How to Open the Share Dialog
You can open the share dialog from either of two places:
- Conversation header — while the conversation is open, select the share control in the header.
- Conversation list row menu — in your conversation history, open the row menu (⋯) next to the conversation you want to share and select Share.
Share Options
When you open the share dialog, you configure three things:
1. Recipient permissions
Choose what the recipient can do with the conversation:
| Permission | What the recipient can do |
|---|---|
| View only | Read the conversation. No composer is shown. |
| Continue | Read the conversation and branch off their own copy. The recipient sees a disabled composer and a Continue in my own copy control. They can only use this option if they have chat access to the agent. |
Continuing always creates a separate copy of the conversation. The original is never modified by anyone other than the owner.
2. Link behavior
Choose how the shared link stays in sync:
| Option | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Live link | The link stays in sync — recipients always see the latest messages as you add them. |
| Snapshot | The link captures the conversation at the moment of sharing. The owner can manually refresh the snapshot later to include newer messages. |
3. Artifact inclusion
Choose whether to include artifacts (Documents, Websites, Data Apps) generated during the conversation:
- Include artifacts — recipients can view any artifacts attached to the conversation.
- Hold back artifacts — recipients see a placeholder noting the owner has not allowed sharing of that item.
What Recipients See
When someone opens a shared conversation link:
- The conversation thread.
- Any shared artifacts (if included by the owner).
- Per-turn token and credit usage for each message.
If artifacts are held back, a placeholder appears in place of each artifact noting that the owner has not allowed sharing.
Recipients with view-only access have no composer. Recipients with continue access see a disabled composer and a Continue in my own copy control — they can activate this only if they have chat access to the agent.
Finding Shared Conversations
Conversations that have been shared with your team are referenceable under the Shared filter in your conversation history.
Managing an Active Share
As the conversation owner, you can change your share settings at any time:
- Reset the share link — generates a new link. The previous link stops working immediately.
- Switch back to private — removes access for all recipients. The conversation is no longer accessible via the shared link.
Conversations That Cannot Be Shared
If an agent is configured with private access, its conversations cannot be shared. You can still open the share dialog, but it will explain why sharing is unavailable for that conversation.
Coming Soon
Sharing via a public, no-login link with people who are not NinjaCat users is planned for a future release.
