Campaign Filtering

Facebook Ads connections support flexible campaign filtering, letting you scope a connection to a subset of campaigns from a larger shared Facebook ad account. Filtering is applied at the API level, which can improve dashboard load times.

Where to Find It

Campaign filtering is configured on each Facebook Advertiser Network Connection within an account.

📘

Note: Campaign filtering was previously located under Account > More Actions > Advanced. That location has been removed. Filters are now managed directly on the connection itself.

Match Types

Match TypeBehavior
ExactCampaign name must match exactly
ContainsCampaign name must contain the specified text
RegexCampaign name must match the regular expression

To remove filtering entirely, delete the filter configuration from the connection.

Setup Notes

  • Filter values can be selected from a list of available campaigns or entered manually.
  • A Test function is available during setup — it previews both the full list of available campaigns and the subset that the current filter will return, before you save.
  • Validation is enforced to prevent invalid configurations (e.g., blank filter values, malformed regex patterns).

Bulk Management

Campaign filter configuration can also be managed at scale through the Bulk Manager via the Advanced Settings (JSON) CSV field. See the Bulk Management Datasource Connections page for details.
