Data Cloud: Common Error Messages

Data Request Was Too Big To Be Processed

Error text: "Data Request Was Too Big To Be Processed – Please Reduce the Amount of Data"

This means NinjaCat ran out of memory while processing that request. It isn't a GA4 limit, and it can happen with any data source.

How to fix it

  • Remove dimensions you don't need, especially long text fields like Full page URL, Page path + query string, Landing page, and Page title. Full page URL already includes the hostname and page path, so you usually only need one of them.
  • Lower Max Days per Request (Chunk Size). Connector default: connector page → More Actions → Edit. For one dataset: dataset → Edit Connection → last step (Schedule Sync for Google Sheets/file datasets). Below 5 days, contact Support. See Configuring ingestion controls.
  • Data Cloud datasets pull every row for the fields you choose. They can't filter rows during the pull. To exclude values (for example, page paths containing /vpv/), filter the dataset afterward with a View.
  • Still failing? Contact Support.

Duplicate Network

Error text: "Duplicate Network: [connection] has already been associated to [advertiser]. Please specify a mapping."

You'll see this when adding or editing a data source on an advertiser. It means that advertiser already has an active connection of the same type (for example, Facebook Ads) using the same Mapping. NinjaCat compares the advertiser, the data source type, and the Mapping. It does not compare ad accounts, so connecting a different Meta ad account to the same advertiser can still trigger this. This check applies to most data source types, not just Meta.

If the message ends with "…with mapping "[name]". Please choose a different Mapping.", that Mapping is already used by another connection on this advertiser.

How to fix it

  1. In the data source form, open the Advanced tab and choose a Facebook Ads Mapping this advertiser isn't already using. Or
  2. Edit, deactivate, or remove the existing connection named in the message, then try again.
📘

There's no limit on how many Meta ad accounts your organization can connect.
