Create Dashboard Profiles

The Dashboard Profile is a major step in the process to create a Dashboard. Creating a Dashboard Profile lets you select the Template or Templates to define the data display and enable custom Dashboard features. This article takes you through the details of creating a Report Profile.

Create a New Dashboard Profile

1. Access the Dashboards List Page

Complete a Dashboard Profile

1. Make choices and fill in fields in the following sections

General

  • Name - Type the name of the dashboard profile into the field
  • Default Dashboard - Turn on (toggled right) to specify this dashboard profile to be automatically associated with all of your accounts that do not have a dashboard specified. You may only have 1 default dashboard at any time
  • Enable Filters For Table - Turn on (toggled right) to enable client-side filtering for the dashboard on table widgets
  • Enable PDF Download - Turn on (toggled right) to display a button that when clicked, allows Dashboard users to download a PDF version of their current tab
  • Enable CSV Export for Dashboard Table - Turn on (toggled right) to display a button that when clicked, allows Dashboard users to download tables into CSV2.png

Date Ranges

  • Disable Yesterday's Data - Turn on (toggled right) to disable Yesterday’s data from the dashboard. Yesterday’s data can sometimes be volatile and change throughout the next day
  • Default Date Range - Choose the date range from the drop-down which will be displayed when the user first views the dashboard
  • Allow User to Select Custom Dates - Turn on (toggled right) to allow the user to select any date range from a calendar. When disabled (toggled left) the user can only select from the standard date range options
  • Enable Custom Comparisons - Turn on (toggled right) to allow the user the ability to change the comparisons to any date range on Tables, Graphs, and Scorecards3.png

Views

  • Templates - Select one or more templates that will make up the views of your dashboard. You must provide a custom name for each view under the "View Name" field which will be used for the menu of your dashboard.
  • Template List - 
    • Templates Column - Contains the name of the template, icons representing the data sources being accessed, and a change order icon for dragging
    • View Name Column - Contains the field for the name of the dashboard tab driven by the selected template. This is a required field for saving the dashboard profile.
    • Edit Column - Click the icon in this column to edit the listed template
    • Delete Column - Click the icon in this column to remove the template from the list

Dashboard Filters

  • Use Dashboard Margin Toggle - Turn on (toggled right) to use the Dashboard Margin Toggle
  • Use Agency Dashboard Filters - Turn on (toggled right) to enable the Agency Dashboard Filter

Dashboard Styles

  • Display Account Owner Information - Turn on (toggled right) to display the name and picture of the account owner in the header of the Account Dashboard
  • Upload Dashboard Logo - If specified, this image will appear on the top left of the Dashboard. Otherwise, the Account Logo or Agency Logo will be used. You can upload an image up to 1 MB
  • Set Dashboard Background Color - Set the background color of the Account Dashboard

Advanced Settings

  • Display Google Analytics Sampled Data Warning - If turned on (toggled right), a small information icon will appear in the bottom right-hand corner of widgets where Google Analytics sampled data is being used. Users can hover over the information icon for more information5.png

2. When all the choices are made, click the "Save Changes" button
