Add a New User

When you identify someone who needs NinjaCat, you'll need to invite them to become a User of your Agency on our platform. Users are the people you'd like to allow access to NinjaCat. This article will guide you through inviting a new agency-level user, managing user invites, and some frequently asked questions about Users in NinjaCat.

Permission Required

To access the options shown in this article, your account must have a User Role that includes the permission "Manage Users". To change your permissions, contact a NinjaCat admin from your team.

How to Add a New User

  1. Access Setup Settings
  2. Click on "Users" from the Setup sub-navigation bar
  3. Click the "Add User" button near the top right of the page
  4. Fill in all fields under Add User:
    • Name — Display name when logged in (required)
    • Email — Invite destination email (required)
    • Roles (toggle) — Assign User Roles that determine access and permissions
      • On (toggle right) = adds the role; Off (toggle left) = removes it
    • Accessible Accounts — Which accounts this user can access
      • Full Access toggle: On = all accounts; Off = limited to selected accounts
    • Advertisers — Drop-down of all available accounts to assign individually, or select "All Advertisers"
    • Templates — Control which templates this user can access
  5. Click "Invite User" to email the invitation

Resending or Canceling User Invites

  1. Access Setup Settings
  2. Click "Users" from the Setup sub-navigation
  3. Click the "Invites" tab under "Users"
  4. Click the Envelope icon under "Re-send" to resend an invite
  5. Click the Trash can icon under "Cancel" to cancel an invite

Can I add a User without sending an invite? No — the user must create their own password via the invite email.

Can I use a username instead of an email? No — an email address is required to send the invite.
