Unified Building Studio for Data Apps & Sites (App Studio)

We've made some workflow changes to the Data App Builder — we are now referring to the builder as the App Studio, where you have two different options of apps to build, each driven by a different framework:

• Web App (new) — powered by React for more flexibility and richer interactivity. Ideal for complex, interactive dashboards and apps with heavier frontend/backend functionality.
• Data App — driven by Streamlit. Still great for interactive, consistent dashboards and for internal exploration of data.

Both are built on Snowflake reader accounts, and you can assign datasets to either.

After you pick a type, you land on a redesigned chat screen where you can either choose a use case to try out or describe what you want to build — then you're taken into the familiar app builder experience. All your existing Data Apps are untouched and continue to work as normal.
