Improved
BigQuery Dataset Location (Region) field
July 8th, 2026
You can now specify the region (dataset location) for your BigQuery connections. When setting up or editing a BigQuery custom dataset, a new optional "Dataset Location" field lets you enter the region where your data lives (for example, us-central1 or EU). Leave it blank to keep the previous default behavior.
This resolves "job not found" errors that occurred when querying BigQuery datasets stored outside the default US multi-region. Connection and region errors are now shown directly on screen as you set up a dataset, so you can correct a misconfigured region without guessing why columns failed to load.
